Using technologies

This section would be better called other technologies as we have already discussed in other sections a number of others. 

There are many technologies and even here we have but a few. It strikes us that with so much known the skill is going to be more a case of coming up with combinations that will work well together than developing new ones. Within our society generally however this is an area that is often overlooked as people become more and more specialists, and loose track of what has been discovered in other fields.

Combined technologies

Through this site you will find suggestions of some combinations, perhaps Ferrocement being used to create a pneumatic platform with a sea wing under, or structures that are partly constructed around and using pods.

One of the advantages of having this site cover in overview many technologies and encouraging people to take the visions approach to designing mythical islands is that they start to see how combinations of technologies can be used together and may be relevant to specific applications.

We do not try to go into the detail you would need to apply theses technologies, but suggest that ebooks will follow on many of these, giving you the ability to find out as much as you want on the skills or technologies of interest to you, and in combination or as an alternative to this we have the links website, to put you in touch with others, and for many the team approach may be the answer, using the skills of a range of people or companies  with knowledge of different technologies.
